Intro

(CHAPEL HILL, N.C.- December 15th, 2022)- "Twas the night before Bowl Season, when all through the house. Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that the College Football Playoffs soon would be there." How'd I do haha?

#BowlSZN is back for 2022. The article is broken down into five categories: "I'll watch it because it's on," "Mid Major Danger," "Quality Bowl Matchups," "Must-see TV," and the "College Football Playoffs." There are a whopping 43 bowl game to break down so let's get right down to business.

Bowl Predictions

“I’ll watch it because it’s on…”

Bahamas Bowl [Dec. 16th]~ (Miami (OH) Redhawks [6-6] vs UAB Blazers [6-6])- The opening bowl game of #BowlSZN begins with the Redhawks and Blazers in the Bahamas. With their backs against the wall, Miami (OH) won their final two games to become bowl eligible. The offense of the Redhawks will need to have an uncharacteristically potent day, averaging a measly 20.3 points per game. Meanwhile, the Blazers offense has been rolling, scoring at least 38 points in their last three games against non-Power Five schools. Expect UAB to roll. UAB 37, Miami (OH) 24

Celebration Bowl [Dec. 17th]~ Jackson State Tigers [12-0] vs North Carolina Central Eagles [9-2]- The MEAC takes on the SWAC in the seventh installment of the Celebration Bowl. the MEAC holds a 5-1 advantage in this matchup which seemingly bodes well for the Eagles. Tigers' coach Deion Sanders will leave to coach Colorado once this game concludes. I think he'll go out on top, capping off an undefeated season for the Tigers here. Jackson State 31, NC Central 28

Frank Gore Jr. could make a name for himself during #BowlSZN

LendingTree Bowl [Dec. 17th]~ Rice Owls [5-7] vs Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles [6-6]- Neither team is in great form, both losing three of four games. In this matchup, I expect USM running back Frank Gore Jr. (yes, that's a real player), to carry the Golden Eagles to victory in an ugly, but competitive game. USM 20, Rice 17

Famous Idaho Potato Bowl [Dec. 20th]~ Eastern Michigan Eagles [8-4] vs San Jose State Spartans [7-4]- Mountain West competition > Mid-Atlantic Competition. Spartans win. San Jose State 28, Eastern Michigan 27

New Orleans Bowl [Dec. 21st]~ Western Kentucky Hilltoppers [8-5] vs South Alabama Jaguars [10-2]- The Sun Belt is no joke of a conference and South Alabama has risen to the task. They took UCLA down to the final seconds, losing by the thinnest of margins (one point) and have played phenomenal defense, holding opponents to under 20 PPG. The Hilltoppers strength is their passing game as quarterback Austin Reed has taken the reins from Bailey Zappe with ease, ranking second in passing yards. The Jaguars are great at stopping the passing game, allowing just 208 passing yards per game in their last three games. Gimme the Jags here. South Alabama 27, Western Kentucky 23

Hawai'i Bowl [Dec. 24th]~ Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders [7-5] vs San Diego State Aztecs [7-5]- If you're watching this game instead of participating in Christmas Eve festivities, what are you actually doing with your life. Anyways, give me the Aztecs here. San Diego State 24, Middle Tennessee 23

Quick Lane Bowl [Dec. 26th]~ New Mexico State Aggies [6-6] vs Bowling Green Falcons [6-6]- Did you know that New Mexico State has never lost a bowl game (3-0)? For that reason alone, I'm rolling with the Aggies. New Mexico State 21, Bowling Green 18

Camellia Bowl [Dec. 27th]~ Georgia Southern Eagles [6-6] vs Buffalo Bulls [6-6]- The Eagles are coming off an emotional high, defeating App State in double OT on the road to clinch bowl eligibility in the regular season's final week. Will they be content by just getting to a bowl game or have something more to prove? Buffalo started 5-3 before nearly blowing their bowl chances. A game-winning touchdown with 1:15 left in regulation helped them defeat Akron 23-22. I think this will be an emotional game with both teams trying to finish the season with a winning record. Georgia Southern 26, Buffalo Bulls 23

First Responder Bowl [Dec. 27th]~ Memphis Tigers [6-6] vs Utah State Aggies [6-6]- After starting 1-4, Utah State finished the season on a high note, propelling themselves into a bowl. While it was a great story for the Aggies, I think the Tigers have the clear advantage offensively. Although not victorious, Memphis is more battle tested with games against Cotton Bowl participant Tulane and a solid UCF team and that should pay dividends here in Dallas. Memphis 38, Utah State 24

Mid Major Danger

Kimani Vidal is ready to run wild in the Cure Bowl.

Cure Bowl [Dec. 16th]~ (UTSA Roadrunners [11-2] vs. Troy Trojans [11-2])- A truly underrated bowl has delivered in recent years. Coastal Carolina won the last one in a shootout against Georgia Southern 47-41. The year before, #23 Liberty upset the Chanticleers' bid for perfection in a 37-34 win in OT. How will this matchup live up to the previous installments? Both the Roadrunners and Trojans are coming in scorching hot, winners of TEN STRAIGHT.

UTSA must find a way to slow down Trojans' running back Kimani Vidal who can wreck gameplans. He's rushed for 200 yards in two out of his last three games. Meanwhile, senior quarterback Frank Harris for UTSA has been cooking, throwing for seven combined touchdowns in his last two games. This game is 50/50 but the Roadrunners offense has been a little more consistent for me and if they can make the Trojans one-dimensional by slowing Vidal down, they should win this game in another Cure Bowl classic. UTSA 41, Troy 34

New Mexico Bowl [Dec. 17th]~ (SMU Mustangs [7-5] vs. BYU Cougars [7-5])- A matchup with great offenses and terrible defenses? Looks like a shootout in the making. SMU 42, BYU 39

Frisco Bowl [Dec. 17th]~ (North Texas Mean Green [7-6)] vs. Boise State Broncos [9-4])- Winless outside their conference, undefeated inside their conference. What a strange season for Boise State. North Texas will need to play better defense if they hope to win this game. In their six losses they've given up at least 31 points in all of them.I don't see this game being that close. Boise State 35, North Texas 21

The Huskies are going bowling for the first time since 2015.

Myrtle Beach Bowl [Dec. 19th]~ (Marshall Thundering Herd [8-4] vs. UConn Huskies [6-6])- The doormat of college football no longer. After starting 1-4, the Huskies are going BOWLING for the first time since 2015! Their opponent in that bowl game? The Thundering Herd. Despite Marshall being the better overall team, I think this cinderella story will continue somehow for UConn as they finish the season with a winning record. UConn 22, Marshall 21

Boca Raton Bowl [Dec. 20th]~ (Liberty Flames [8-4] vs. Toledo Rockets [8-5])- Since Liberty head coach Hugh Freeze accepted the job to coach the Auburn Tigers, the Flames have been in free-fall, losing three straight. They've had some impressive wins against Arkansas and BYU to offset that so it will be intriguing to see if they can recapture that form. That being said, Toledo seems to be the pick here. Toledo 27, Liberty 19

Independence Bowl [Dec. 23rd]~ (Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns [6-6] vs. Houston Cougars [7-5])- The Cougars had New Year's Six dreams but their season didn't quite go as planned, losing games often because of their porous defense. Expect this game to be a high-scoring affair but Houston should win over an inconsistent Cajuns team. Houston 45, Louisiana 36

Birmingham Bowl [Dec. 27th]~ (Coastal Carolina Chanticleers [9-3] vs. East Carolina Pirates [7-5)- The Chanticleers ended the season by getting blown out in their last two games. Although they were without star QB Grayson McCall, you would've liked to see them put up more of a fight. East Carolina has played more consistent as of late and have beaten BYU and UCF while narrowly falling to NC State in their season opener. Expect the Pirates to edge the W here. East Carolina 24, Coastal Carolina 20

Arizona Bowl [Dec. 30th]~ (Ohio Bobcats [9-4] vs. Wyoming Cowboys [7-5)- Barstool Sports is the channel for this one. That's all that needs to be said. Ohio 33, Wyoming 21

Quality Bowl Matchups

Fenway Bowl [Dec. 17th]~ (Cincinnati Bearcats [9-3] vs. Louisville Cardinals [7-5])- Call this one the Scott Satterfield Bowl. In case you hadn't heard, the former Louisville coach left to take the job with the Bearcats...who they'll be playing in this bowl game. Talk about awkward... Satterfield should know the ends and outs of this Cardinals team and should use that to his advantage and a bowl W for Cinci. Cincinnati 27, Louisville 17

Without Richardson, how will the Florida offense adjust?

Las Vegas Bowl [Dec. 17th]~ (Florida Gators [6-6] vs. #14 Oregon State Beavers [9-3])- Dynamic Gators' quarterback Anthony Richardson is headed to the NFL as he joins several opt-outs for the guys from Gainesville. This game would've had a lot more potential had he decided to play. I think the Beavers will win this one assuming they can run the football against a suspect Florida run defense. Oregon State 30, Florida 23

LA Bowl [Dec. 17th]~ (Washington State Cougars [7-5] vs. Fresno State Bulldogs [9-4])- The Bulldogs are on a roll, winning eight straight and a Mountain West title to cap it off. Look for senior receiver Jalen Moreno-Cropper to be a big factor for Fresno State's passing game as he has been all season long. While momentum is important in football, I think Washington State could pull the mini upset. Battle-tested in the Pac-12, the Cougars have proven they can hang with the big boys and I think it'll show up in the LA Bowl. Washington State 34, Fresno State 31

Armed Forces Bowl [Dec. 22nd]~ (Baylor Bears [6-6] vs. Air Force Falcons [9-3])- After winning the Big 12 last year, the Bears couldn't quite replicate the same success, falling to 6-6, including a three-game losing streak to end the year. However, a win against the Falcons here would ensure them a winning record for the '22 season. They'll have to stop the potent ground attack of the Air Force (ironic isn't it). The Bears struggle to stop the run, allowing nearly 200 yards on the ground so if that trend continues, the Falcons could walk out with a win. However, I'm going to trust Baylor's offense a tad more in this situation and get a hard-fought win. Baylor 24, Air Force 22

Gasparilla Bowl [Dec. 23rd]~ (Wake Forest Demon Deacons [7-5] vs. Missouri Tigers [6-6])- After a ten-win season in 2021, the Demon Deacons couldn't replicate the magic this year. They played in two incredible games against Clemson and UNC but fell short in crunch time. Had they won those games, the season would've been a lot different. However, that wasn't because of their star quarterback Sam Hartman. He finished tied for fifth in college football with 35 passing TDs. I'm not sure Missouri can keep up with that. The Tigers won their final two games to sneak out bowl eligibility but the "reward" may be an L against the Deacs. Wake Forest 33, Missouri 26

Guaranteed Rate Bowl [Dec. 27th]~ (Wisconsin Badgers [6-6] vs. Oklahoma State Cowboys [7-5])- I have no idea what to expect out of this game. The Badgers' new era has begun as they sport a new head coach in Luke Fickell and a new offensive coordinator in Phil Longo. The Cowboys were one yard away from potentially making the College Football Playoff in 2021 and that hangover seemingly carried over to 2022, falling to 7-5. Lastly, they've been in free-fall, losing four of five. Despite not being confident in either of these squads, I think Wisconsin can play enough defense to sneak out an ugly win here. Wisconsin 19, Oklahoma State 17

Military Bowl [Dec. 28th]~ (UCF Knights [9-4] vs. Duke Blue Devils [8-4])- Duke head coach Mike Elko has done wonders with this Blue Devils squad that looked hapless coming into the season. UCF has been a mainstay in bowl season and came up just short of a Cotton Bowl appearance this season, falling to Tulane. Often times in games like this one, I look for who's more motivated. Since the Blue Devils haven't been to a bowl since 2018, the fans will be excited for this one. I'm going with Duke in a sneaky good game. Duke 31, UCF 28

Liberty Bowl [Dec. 28th]~ (Kansas Jayhawks [6-6] vs. Arkansas Razorbacks [6-6])- Why are Kansas and Arkansas pronounced differently? If you don't get my reference, you're too young. Anyways...after years of futility as one of the worst teams in Power Five, the Jayhawks emerged as an early season surprise, starting 5-0. After that, they weren't overly competitive as they were able to scrape out bowl eligibility but not much else. The Razorbacks could've had a much different season as they suffered four losses by three points or less. However, the way Kansas has been looking as of late, they shouldn't have much of a problem here. Arkansas 35, Kansas 24

Holiday Bowl [Dec. 28th]~ (North Carolina Tar Heels [9-4] vs. #15 Oregon Ducks [9-3])- One of the top quarterback matchups of the season goes down in San Diego as Bo Nix takes on Drake Maye. It'll be interesting to see where the motivation is for both teams following disappointing performances in their last action on the field. Oregon blew a 31-10 lead to their in-state rival and ruined any hopes at a Pac 12 title game berth. Meanwhile, UNC's dynamic offense has evaporated in recent weeks, including a 39-10 blowout to Clemson in the ACC Championship. In addition, their offensive coordinator Phil Longo has left for Wisconsin. In this matchup, I think it's clear that the Ducks should take this one easily. Oregon 38, North Carolina 22

Texas Bowl [Dec. 28th]~ (Texas Tech Red Raiders [7-5] vs. Ole Miss Rebels [8-4])- Two teams going in opposite directions. The Red Raiders are hot. The Rebels are not. However, the bowl season has a weird way of breaking trends in ways that don't make sense. Although I seldomly pick the cold team, I think Ole Miss is the more talented team and they'll edge it out in the Texas Bowl. Ole Miss 30, Texas Tech 27

The running backs should be COOKIN' in this one!

Pinstripe Bowl [Dec. 29th]~ (Syracuse Orange [7-5] vs. Minnesota Golden Gophers [8-4])- Similar to Kansas, the Orange had one of the early season breakouts (6-0 start) before plummeting to earth. Looking at this team, Syracuse has a balanced approach on offense which should help them in not being one-dimensional. Running back Sean Tucker (1,060, 11 TDs) needs to be effective for the Orange to emerge victorious. What Syracuse does, the Golden Gophers do a little bit better, especially on the ground. After tearing his achilles tendon in '21, running back Mohamed Ibrahim had a career year, rushing for nearly 1,600 yards and 19 touchdowns. On defense, Minnesota has one of the best pass defenses in the country, ranking eighth in Division I. Expect this game to be entertaining but with the Gophers on top. Minnesota 28, Syracuse 24

Mayo Bowl [Dec. 30th]~ (Maryland Terrapins [7-5] vs. #23 NC State Wolfpack [8-4])- The Wolfpack will have to rely on their top-flight defense to slow down Maryland. Devin Leary is transferring meaning that the backup quarterbacks will need to shine again. With the game being in Charlotte, the crowd should favor NC State but the offense of the Terps might be a little too much in this one. They've scored 27 against Michigan and 30 against Ohio State showing their ability to keep up against the best. Gimme UM and coach Mike Locksley as the recipient of the "epic" Mayo Bath. To the victor goes the...mayo? Maryland 27, NC State 21

Sun Bowl [Dec. 30th]~ (Pitt Panthers [8-4] vs. #18 UCLA Bruins [9-3])- Without Kenny Pickett at the helm, Pitt predictably wasn't the same team that made the Peach Bowl last year. Kedon Slovis was pedestrian for the majority of the season, stunting the Panthers' ceiling. The matchup to watch is the UCLA's rushing attack vs Pitt's run defense. The Bruins' offense was one of the nation's best, ranking fourth in rushing yards (avg. 246.3 YPG). On the flip side, Pitt allows just 95.5 yards per game, ranking sixth. Something's got to give. The winner of that battle should win the game. UCLA 31, Pitt 24

Music City Bowl [Dec. 31st]~ (Iowa Hawkeyes [7-5] vs. Kentucky Wildcats [7-5])- If you like defense, boy do I have a game for you. Points will come at a premium here and with the opt-out of future first-round pick Will Levis for Kentucky, that should give the Hawkeyes the confidence to win this game. Iowa 15, Kentucky 13

ReliaQuest Bowl [Jan. 2nd]~ (#22 Mississippi State Bulldogs [8-4] vs. Illinois Fighting Illini [8-4])- I'm very surprised that this game is going to be played. If the late Mike Leach had anything to say about it, he wouldn't have it any other way. I originally had Illinois winning this game due to their tenacious defense but with motivation for the Bulldogs with the recent passing of their legendary coach, I can't see them losing now. Mississippi State 31, Illinois 27

Citrus Bowl [Jan. 2nd]~ (#17 LSU Tigers [9-4] vs. Purdue Boilermakers [8-5])- The Tigers improved on their 6-7 record in 2021 under the direction of former head coach Brian Kelly. Their marquee win was against Alabama, giving them life for the CFP. However, the dream died after an upset loss on the road to Texas A&M. When quarterback Jayden Daniels is on point, LSU is nearly unstoppable to beat. Leading the team in rushing and passing is incredible. On the other side, Purdue has a few opt-outs which won't due them any favors in this one. Most notably, quarterback Aidan O'Connell will not play in the bowl game, making life more difficult for the Boilermakers. The Tigers should win this if they're locked in. LSU 31, Purdue 21

Must-see TV (non-CFP games)

Cheez-It Bowl [Dec. 29th]~ (Oklahoma Sooners (6-6) vs. #13 Florida State Seminoles [9-3)- There's not many teams that are hotter than the Florida State Seminoles at the moment. I'm sure they'll be a trendy preseason pick next season for a New Year's Six game but for now, it's up to Oklahoma to figure out the 'Noles in the Bowl full of Cheez-Its. The Sooners have had some great performances but clearly their 6-6 record indicates their inconsistency on offense and defense. The choice is easy for me. Florida State 38, Oklahoma 31

Alamo Bowl [Dec. 29th]~ (#20 Texas Longhorns [8-4] vs. #12 Washington Huskies [10-2])- Will Texas ever be back? Who knows? They've had some incredible performances including a 49-0 drubbing of Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry and a great defensive effort against Alabama. However, they were 0-2 against their in-state rivals TCU and Texas Tech. If they ever want to reach elite status again, you have to beat your rivals.

Washington should've been talked about more than they were in the Pac-12. With USC, UCLA, and Utah all playing well, the Huskies "quietly" had an impressive 10-2 season led by star QB Michael Penix Jr. Leading the nation in passing yards is quite a feat and could be the "next big things" in the NFL. Speaking of the "next big thing," Texas running back Bijan Robinson is one of the best prospects at his position that we've seen in a long time. The Longhorns will miss him as he decided to skip the bowl game. In what should be a high-scoring affair, I have the Huskies taking the Alamo. Washington 37, Texas 35

Gator Bowl [Dec. 30th]~ (#21 Notre Dame Fighting Irish [8-4] vs. #19 South Carolina Gamecocks [8-4])- What Irish team will we get? The one that lost to Marshall or the one that dominated Clemson? They'll be hoping it's the latter as South Carolina is on a roll under second-year coach Shane Beamer. Back-to-back wins against Tennessee and Clemson is among the best pair of wins from any team this season. With the momentum of this program and the re-emergence of Spencer Rattler for the Gamecocks, I'd be dumb not to pick them in this spot. The Irish have struggled in bowl games over the past few seasons and I don't see their streak changing now. South Carolina 30, Notre Dame 27

Orange Bowl [Dec. 30th]~ (#6 Tennessee Volunteers [10-2] vs. #7 Clemson Tigers [11-2])- The Cade Klubnik era has begun in Clemson, South Carolina. Dabo Swinney had seen enough of the ineffective D.J. Uielagelei, inserting Klubnik into the game. The true freshman excelled, winning the ACC Championship MVP in a thrashing of UNC. The Orange Bowl will be a massive test not only for Klubnik but for Clemson as a whole. They'll have the benefit of dodging QB Hendon Hooker (torn ACL) and Biletnikoff winner Jalin Hyatt (opt-out) in this one but the Volunteers have plenty of star power to win this game. With Tennessee's offense averaging over 47 points per game, the Clemson secondary may struggle to keep up, similar to the Tigers performance against the Gamecocks. With an inexperienced Klubnik, the Vols should pull away late to win this one. Tennessee 38, Clemson 28

Sugar Bowl [Dec. 31st]~ (#5 Alabama Crimson Tide [10-2] vs. #9 Kansas State Wildcats [10-3])- When a 10-2 season is considered a "down year" for your program, things are going well. It's the first playoff without Alabama or Clemson which shows the consistency of both clubs. For the Wildcats, it's their best season in a decade where they went to the Fiesta Bowl. Leading their top 25 rushing attack is Deuce Vaughn. Despite being 5'6, Vaughn has seven games of over 100 yards rushing this year. He'll need another one to pull the upset against Bama. This game should be spectacular but one where Bryce Young and the Crimson Tide pull away late to win. Alabama 38, Kansas State 31

Cotton Bowl [Jan. 2nd]~ (#16 Tulane Green Wave (11-2) vs. #10 USC Trojans [11-2)- There might be no bigger surprise this season than the season of the Green Wave. After a disastrous 2-10 season in 2021, a reversal of fortunes. The program hasn't seen a season like this since 1998 where they went undefeated (12-0, seventh in the AP Poll). For USC, where will their motivation be? They had a de-facto "win and in" scenario in the Pac 12 title game and completely fell apart. Likewise, the health of Heisman winner Caleb Williams will be key for USC's chances of winning against a motivated Green Wave squad. If Williams plays, I'll take the Trojans to win it. If not, expect Tulane to pull off the upset. For now, I have USC in a close one. USC 31, Tulane 30

Rose Bowl [Jan. 2nd]~ (#11 Penn State Nittany Lions (11-2) vs. #8 Utah Utes [10-3)- The Utes are playing in their second consecutive Rose Bowl game and are looking for redemption after falling to OSU in last year's classic. If 2021 was any indication, we should be in for another treat. In a division with Michigan and Ohio State, it wasn't realistic to expect Penn State to push for the CFP. In fact, those were their only two losses and beat their other opponents with relative ease. Who will emerge here? It's truly a toss-up. Out of all the games, I had the hardest time picking this one. Since I had Utah in my preseason CFP predictions, I'm going to give them my vote of confidence here but it wouldn't shock me in the least bit to see the Nittany Lions win this game in style. Utah 35, Penn State 34

College Football Playoff

Fiesta Bowl [Dec. 31st]- #3. TCU Horned Frogs (12-1) vs. #2. Michigan Wolverines (13-0)

New Year's Eve kicks off with our first of two semifinal matchups. After getting robbed in the inaugural playoff spot in 2014, the Horned Frogs get their well-deserved breakthrough to the CFP. TCU is led by Davey O'Brien award winner Max Duggan who propelled this team to a shocking season. Both Michigan and TCU average just over 40 PPG, but get their yardage in different ways as TCU has more of a potent aerial attack.

TCU will need to get out to an early lead because if not, Michigan could run away with this game. Jim Harbaugh's squad is undefeated for reason. They play hard-nosed defense and can often pull away late in the second half of games. That's what I see happening here. It's been a great story for the Horned Frogs but I see the Wolverines taking this one.

Michigan Wolverines 34, TCU Horned Frogs 24

Will the Harrison-Stroud duo prove to be too much for Georgia's defense?

Peach Bowl- #1. Georgia Bulldogs (13-0) vs. #4. Ohio State Buckeyes (11-1)

The Buckeyes owe a debt of gratitude for Utah's big upset over the USC Trojans in the Pac-12 Championship. While backdooring your way into the playoff isn't ideal, they'll have a chance to prove EVERYBODY wrong with a massive upset over the defending champs. The difference will be the defense for both teams. OSU has gotten gashed in recent weeks, allowing 30 and 45 points. When Ohio State gets punched in the mouth, I'm not sure they'll respond. They couldn't against their arch-rival Michigan and so I find it hard to believe they would against a team like Georgia.

Georgia Bulldogs 34, Ohio State Buckeyes 27

National Championship

#1. Georgia Bulldogs (14-0) vs #2. Michigan Wolverines (14-0)

The moment we've all been waiting for. The epic matchup to crown a champion. This would be the fourth time in the CFP era where two undefeated teams would go at it for an undefeated title season. Both Michigan and Georgia are programs that have had sustained success and are looking to add to that here with a trophy.

Michigan's J.J. McCarthy isn't flashy but the sophomore quarterback has kept the ball out of harm's way, throwing just three interceptions on the year. Georgia's Stetson Bennett is very similar. Nothing flashy but effective in crunch time. We know these defenses are two of the best as they are able to limit big plays and force turnovers.

For Michigan to win this game, they'll need to run the football effectively per usual. While star running back Blake Corum is out for the season, Donovan Edwards has picked up the slack. He's run for 100 yards in three out of the last four games, helping the Wolverines not miss a beat. On the other side, tight end Brock Bowers will be the key man for the Bulldogs. He's got 726 yards to go with six touchdowns. Their rushing attack is divided up by committee meaning it's hard to key in on one guy.

In my eyes, both of these teams are incredibly even. Michigan certainly has the talent to win this one and maybe even convincingly under the right circumstances. However, Georgia has been the most consistent team all-season long and when the dust settles, the Georgia Bulldogs will go back-to-back and win the National Championship.

The Georgia Bulldogs are your National Champions!
